Hailing from Salisbury, Maryland, The Hot Meals are a funky mix of many types of music. The band shifts its sound effortlessly between the genres of reggae, blues, rock, hip hop, funk, and soul. In addition to the band’s progressive style, it’s known for varied choices in cover songs, comedic banter, musical improvisation, and bizarre, danceable originals —all aimed to entertain a variety of audiences.
How did you get started playing your instrument?
I found my dad's old acoustic guitar in the attic and started plucking at the strings. At first I just wanted to see what types of sounds it could make. I would put on head phones and just strum the different chords I was learning to my favorite songs....they were not the right chords. I still play the wrong chords.How long have you been playing it?

How did you get started playing your instrument?
I was anxious to play music. In school you couldn't join band until 6th grade but you could sign up for Strings in 5th. So I tried out to play Cello. The instructor told me my hands were too small and to try again when I was 12 or to try the drums. So I chose the drums.
How long have you been playing it?
About 18 Years
Major influences/ inspirations:
My wife & family. We are all driven by music. Also, any good music regardless of genre.
What type of equipment do you use?
Mainly I play a 5 Piece Sonor Kit, Maryland Snare, DW Hardware, Zildjian Cymbals, & Vic Firth Sticks.
What is the best concert you've ever seen?
It's a 3 way tie with Pink Floyd in 95' at RFK, Steely Dan in 02' in NYC & Herbie Hancock at The North Sea Jazz Festival in 06' in the Netherlands.
